Remodeled Chongjin University of Agriculture Inaugurated

Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK has remodeled Chongjin University of Agriculture.

The university covering a total floor space of 17 000 square meters has all conditions and environment necessary for teaching and education, agricultural science and technology research and students' study, including school buildings, combined lecture room, e-library, laboratories, gymnasium and dormitory. It will help train more talented persons to lead the implementation of the Workers' Party of Korea's programme for the rural revolution in the new era.

An inauguration ceremony of the university was held on September 16.

Present there were Kim Tu Il, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, Ho Kyong Chol, chairman of the provincial rural economy committee, officials of the province and Chongjin City, teachers, builders and teaching staff and students of the university.

Pak Myong Ho, chairman of the provincial people's committee, made an inauguration address to be followed by speeches.

At the end of the ceremony the participants went round various places of the university.

Earlier, the chief secretary of the provincial Party committee and officials of the province visited the newly-built Hwadae Branch of the Zootechny Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences. -0-
