Young Women in Nampho Volunteer to Become Fishers

Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- Nine young women in Nampho Municipality of the DPRK volunteered to become crew members of the fishing ship Daughter of Workers' Party of Korea - Young Heroine under the Nampho Fishery Station.

The Municipal Committee of the Party and the youth league organizations in the relevant areas supported the praiseworthy decisions of those girls who are determined to steadfastly carry forward the proud baton of loyalty and patriotism of the young women of the preceding generations who manned the ship in rough sea.

A meeting was held at the Nampho Schoolchildren's Palace on September 20 to congratulate those volunteers.

Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials, young people and students. The volunteers were awarded the volunteer certificates. Congratulatory and other speeches were made there.

After a congratulatory performance was given, officials and youth and students in the municipality presented bouquets to the volunteers and gave them a pep talk. -0-
