Soccer Tournament for Torch Cup in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- The Soccer Tournament for Torch Cup ended. It started on August 2.

The men's football final between Amnokgang and Pyongyang teams took place at Kim Il Sung Stadium on August 28, revving up the atmosphere of the significant Youth Day.

The Amnokgang Team beat the Pyongyang Team, thus winning the trophy again as it did in 2023 and 2025.

Meanwhile, the Amnokgang Team beat the Pyongyang Team 2:0 and took the first place in the women's football final held at the May Day Stadium on August 27.

Cups, medals and diplomas were awarded to men's and women's football teams and players who proved successful showing high technique in the tournament. -0-
