Active Assistance to Schools

Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Municipality takes the lead in assisting schools.

The district of Mangyongdae has directed efforts to improving the conditions and environments of educational institutions.

The Mangyongdae District People's Court donated building materials to Janghun Kindergarten No. 3 and Sonnae Primary School to help their modernization, and the Pyongyang Rice-cleaning Mill donated teaching aids and furnishings to Samhung Middle School.

Officials of the Pyongyang Municipal Truck Transport Station, a textile wholesale store of Pyongyang Municipal Wholesale Business Management Office and other supporting units often visit the schools in Sosong District under their care to know what they need for modernization and provide necessary building materials. And they are paying attention to consolidating the material foundations of schools.

Pothonggang and Phyongchon districts donated computers and LCD TVs to schools so as to contribute to putting the education on a modern and IT basis. -0-
