National Sports Contest of University Teachers and Students-2026 Held

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The National Sports Contest of University Teachers and Students-2026 took place at Kim Chaek University of Technology from July 29 to August 9.

The contest brought together more than 1 000 teachers and students selected from over 40 universities in the capital city and provinces. The players competed in the volleyball matches (students) and table tennis matches (teachers and students), divided into categories of central-level universities and provincial-level ones.

Kim Il Sung University and Phyongsong University of Medicine came first in the men's volleyball matches, Kim Chaek University of Technology and Chongjin University of Medicine in the teachers' table tennis matches, and Kim Il Sung University and Phyongsong University of Technology in the students' table tennis matches.

Wonsan Jong Jun Thaek University of Economics won the first place in the women's volleyball matches.

Successful units and players were awarded trophy cups, medals and commendations. -0-
