Iron Production Goes up in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK fulfilled its pig iron production plan for June.
The complex has steadily updated the Korean-style iron-making method while introducing valuable inventions through a massive technical innovation movement for cost reduction and growth of production in quality and quantity.
Smelters have increased the output of molten iron per charge by setting proper mixing ratios of raw materials and fuel and actively applying advanced working methods.
Technicians and workers have upgraded the performance of equipment such as expander, air compressor and cooler, boosting the production of high-quality oxygen by rational operation method.
The engineering units have striven to contribute to consolidating the foundation for Juche-based iron production by ensuring the production of parts and accessories and the normal operation of equipment. -0-
