National Symposium and Sci-tech Presentation in Cosmetics Industry

Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- A national symposium and sci-tech presentation in the cosmetics industry took place at the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory in the DPRK from October 20 to 22 under the sponsorship of the Korean Cosmetics Industry Association of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Attending the symposium and sci-tech presentation were scientists, technicians and officials of the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory, the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory, the Essential Oil and Cosmetic Analysis Institute under the Academy of Light Industry, Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry and other units.

Presented were dozens of papers completed in the course of researches for development of new products, improvement of their quality, home production of raw materials, establishment of production lines and quality control.

Highly appreciated were essays related to the world trend of development of functional cosmetics and cleaning cosmetics and proposals on the method of evaluating the effectiveness of cosmetics for prevention of aging.

During the symposium and sci-tech presentation, there were visits to production lines at the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory and the Pomhyanggi Institute. -0-
