DPRK Player Wins Three Gold Medals at 2026 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships

Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- DPRK player Ri Song Gum won the 2026 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships.

The championship brought together more than 520 men and women players from over 90 countries and regions including the DPRK, China, Russia and Colombia.

Ri Song Gum bagged three gold medals in the women's 49kg category on October 27, taking the first place in snatch, jerk and total standings by lifting 92kg in snatch, 119kg in jerk and 211kg in total.

In the men's 60 kg category, DPRK player Pak In Song bagged a gold medal in jerk and bronze medals in snatch and total and another DPRK player Pang Un Chol silver medals in snatch, jerk and total. -0-
