DPRK Men's Football Team Qualified for 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Group C matches for qualification for the 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup took place in Vietnam.

The forthcoming Asian Cup will bring together eight teams which came first in group matches, seven teams with high points among those that came second, and the host country team.

The men players of the DPRK defeated their Vietnamese rivals 3:0 in the first match and Iranian rivals 2:1 in the second match.

They played the last match with their Palestinian rivals on Sept. 6. In the match the DPRK team beat the opponent 4:0.

As a result, the DPRK team scored 9 points in total to take the first place in the group and won the qualifiers for the 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup. -0-
