Steps Taken to Protect Power System from High Temperature
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The power transmission and distribution sector in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, concentrates all its efforts on protecting the power system from high temperature and ensuring its normal operation.
The Pyongyang Municipal Power Transmission and Distribution Station has regularly supplied electricity needed for the operation of pumping stations so that the supply of domestic water for households is not hindered.
It has taken practical measures to prevent overload of main transformers and pole type transformers installed in the relevant areas and paid attention to supply electricity with normal frequency to rural areas.
The Pothonggang District Power Distribution Station has intensified the inspection of its sections and meticulously controlled the power equipment to thoroughly prevent abnormal phenomena caused by high temperature.
Phyongchon and Sosong district power distribution stations have arranged power distribution lines effectively to protect and manage the electrical installation in a responsible manner. -0-
