Delegation of DPRK Ministry of National Defence Visits Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the Ministry of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea led by Vice-Minister Ryo Chol Ung visited the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from September 24 to 28.

During the stay, Ryo Chol Ung paid a courtesy call on Phan Van Giang, minister of Defence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and had a talk with Deputy Minister of Defence Nguyen Truong Thang.

The talks discussed the issues of further boosting the military cooperation between the two countries in conformity with the DPRK-Vietnam friendly relations which have entered a new developing phase with the historic Pyongyang summit meeting in October 2025 as an occasion.

The delegation of the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK also laid a wreath before the graveyard of President Ho Chi Minh and visited a unit of the Vietnam People's Army, a military medical university and other units. It was invited to a welcome reception given by Deputy Minister of Defence Nguyen Truong Thang. -0-
