Senior Party and Government Officials Celebrate Youth Day with Young People across DPRK

Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- Leading cadres of the Party and the government of the DPRK commemorated the Youth Day August 28 together with young people across the DPRK amid great joy and optimism of the young vanguard pervading the country celebrating the revolutionary holiday of the Korean youth in the course of the drive for a new phase of transformation.

Pak Thae Song and Jo Yong Won, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Sin Yong Il, Ju Chang Il, Jo Chun Ryong, An Kum Chol, Kim Jong Gwan, Kim Sung Du, Kim Tok Hun and other senior officials of the Party and government visited the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine of the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex, Kim Il Sung University, the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant, the Sangwon Cement Complex, the Chollima Steel Complex, the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the State Academy of Sciences, the Sunchon Cement Complex, other factories, enterprises, coal mines, universities, etc. to congratulate young people on their holiday.

They met and encouraged the innovative young people who are achieving successes in production sites, grand construction sites, thousands of feet-deep underground pits, scientific research bases and universities in the dynamic drive to successfully carry out the tasks for the first year of the new five-year plan for national economic development set forth at the Ninth Congress of the WPK.

Being told about the labour achievements and good deeds of the young paragons of virtues, they asked all the young people to perform ceaseless miracles and feats at their revolutionary posts to live up to the great love and trust of the Party.
