National Presentation in Coal Industrial Sector Held

Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation in the coal industry of the DPRK took place at the Phyongsong University of Coal Mining on Sept. 22 and 23 under the sponsorship of the Korean Coal Mining Association of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

It was attended by officials, scientists and technicians of over 20 units, including the Ministry of Coal Industry, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy, Sariwon University of Geology and Kanggye University of Technology. 80-odd treatises for shoring up the coal industry were presented.

Those substantially conducive to accelerating the technological upgrading of the coal industry and increasing production were highly appreciated.

During the presentation, there was a lecture on the rational mining method using steel props. -0-
