Foundations for Cement Production Further Strengthened

Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- The Sunchon Cement Complex in the DPRK makes progress in reinforcing its material and technical foundations.

The complex has turned a technical innovation movement into the one for the masses themselves and intensified technical guidance on ensuring the normal operation of equipment.

Amid the mass technical innovation movement, it introduced efficient casting method to lengthen the operating life of various kinds of crushers, thus providing a guarantee for increased production.

Its technical team remodeled a coal crusher to raise the output of pulverized coal 1.3 times and improve its fineness, making it possible to raise the combustion rate and save a great amount of fuel.

Meanwhile, the complex has stepped up the manufacture and introduction of electric furnace intended to increase the equipment production capacity as well as the project to replace firebricks for a shaft kiln, repair a cooler and install external circulating air separator.

Workers at Sunchon Limestone Mine, Ryongwon Mine, Jikdong Gypsum Mine and other mines, too, are concentrating their efforts on the technical development to lay the foundations for long-term production and raise the operation rate of transport system and drainage system. -0-
