DPRK Will Never Stand Face to Face with ROK

Kim Yo Jong, Department Director of C.C., WPK, Re-clarifies Official Stand Never to Allow Any Possibility of Dialogue with ROK

Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- "We will never allow the slightest space or margin for any contact between the DPRK and the ROK nor stand face to face with them in any case."

Kim Yo Jong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, said this on Friday when receiving a report from the Department of Foreign Military Affairs of the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK. The said stand was clarified again through the Korean Central News Agency.

Department Director Kim Yo Jong dismissed the assertion of Jong Tong Yong of the ROK as a "wild dream and unilateral jargon". As regards the so-called mine explosion case, Jong said that the ROK should demand apology from the DPRK side and proposed talks between the two sides to define the Military Demarcation Line.

Kim Yo Jong said: The Democratic People's Republic of Korea does never discuss the issue of military sovereignty with its rival in any case. It is the fixed stand of the DPRK government to define the borderline, our sovereign boundary line, through the full exercise of sovereignty, that is, by the use of force, not by means of negotiation.

Department Director Kim Yo Jong commented that "it is quite ridiculous" for the ROK to raise the demand for apology.

We know that Lee Jae Myung and his close associates are now making desperate efforts to create a space for communication between the DPRK and the ROK, she said, adding this is the "whole story", "theme" and "real intention" of their recent farce.

Stressing that the DPRK will never allow the slightest space or margin for possible contact with the ROK under any circumstances and the former will never stand face to face with the latter in any case, she declared that sitting with the ROK itself is a nightmare and this is a conclusion we have made through our past sufficient experience.

Finally, Kim Yo Jong affirmed that "we are ready for everything no matter whatever option they will take," referring to the so-called corresponding measure touted by the ROK. -0-
