Progress Made in Juche-based Iron Production

Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK has stepped up the production of Juche-based iron by enhancing its sci-tech force.

In recent one month alone, the complex invented and introduced more than 10 valuable technical innovations into production.

While directing efforts to the technological innovation to raise the operation rate of energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace, it introduced a new charging method to provide a guarantee for increasing the thermal efficiency and production.

A new repair method based on pulverized magnesia clinker was invented to extend the operation time of the oxygen converter.

The complex is steadily updating the Korean-style iron-making method while waging a mass technical innovation movement to lower the production cost and boost the production both in quality and quantity. -0-
