Academy of Pedagogical Science in DPRK Makes Achievements

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Pedagogical Science in the DPRK is putting spurs to the efforts to put the education on a higher scientific basis.

The academy carried out proactive research into helping teachers have excellent art of lecturing and into improving the ability of pupils in the stages of elementary and secondary education. By doing so, it contributed to the teaching of teachers.

The academy is busy writing various books on education psychology and education statistics.

Its researchers have gone to schools in rural areas in Kangso District of Nampho Municipality and Taehung County of South Phyongan Province in order to help the teachers work out teaching plans and create new teaching methods, and are pooling their creative wisdom in making educational aid programs and multimedia programs for students in their study of foreign language and for deaf persons.

The academy also made proactive efforts to increase the ranks of persons with academic degrees and help teachers to further raise the level of their educational theory. -0-
