Vegetable Output Goes Up at Large-scale Greenhouse Farms in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- According to Minju Joson, vegetable production has increased at large-scale greenhouse farms in the DPRK.

This year the Jungphyong Greenhouse Complex produced over 1 000 tons of more vegetables, such as functional ones, in contrast to the same period of last year.

The Kangdong Greenhouse Complex has strived to put the production on a scientific and industrial basis, thereby opening up the prospect of fulfilling the yearly national economic plan more than one month earlier.

The Ryonpho Greenhouse Complex is installing growth-stimulating lamps to put the vegetable production on a higher level.

The greenhouse complexes contribute to enriching the people's diet by reaping large quantities of cucumbers, tomatoes, red peppers, cabbages and other fresh vegetables. -0-
