Evening Gala and Firework Display Mark National Liberation Day in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- An evening gala of youth and students and a firework display took place at Kim Il Sung Square in the capital city of Pyongyang on August 15 when the whole country was full of emotion and joy of celebrating the National Liberation Day.

The evening gala began amid the playing of the song "Let's Love Our Country".

The venue become heated, with people delightfully dancing in diverse formations amid the depiction of the letters "August 15" and "Celebration" on the ground of the square.

When the song "We Sing of Our Country Holding the Leader in High Esteem" resounded through the square, the venue was overflowing with boundless reverence for President Kim Il Sung, who pushed his way through endless snowstorms and waged long bloody battles against the Japanese imperialists to accomplish the historic cause of the national liberation and laid the solid foundations for the powerful and dignified socialist country.

The passionate young people presented cheerful and dynamic dances in reflection of their great pride and optimism with which they are glorifying the new era of comprehensive rejuvenation, holing in high esteem respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who leads the sacred revolutionary cause of Juche to victory and demonstrates the dignity and national power of our country to the world.

Amid the playing of the song "My Strong Motherland", colorful fireworks were displayed, revving up the atmosphere of celebrating the holiday.
