National Sci-tech Presentation in Field of Printing Industry Held

Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation in the field of printing industry was held at the Grand People's Study House on Sept. 14 and 15 under the sponsorship of the Korean Printing Technology Association of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Attending the presentation on the theme of "Self-reliance and modernization of printing technology" were officials, teachers and researchers of various units including the Publication Guidance Bureau, the Printing Plant of the Foreign Languages Publishing House and Pyongyang University of Publication and Printing.

The presentation heard discussions and answers on the scientific and technological issues arising in consolidating the material and technical foundations of the printing industry sector and raising the level of printing technology.

Several proposals substantially conducive to putting the printing industry on a modern and IT basis were highly appreciated.

There were lectures on the trend of development of the world's printing technology during the presentation. -0-
