Vegetable Production Increases at Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- The Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm in the DPRK has carried out its first half-yearly vegetable production plan, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The farm increased the per-hectare yield by cultivating leaf and root vegetables as well as vegetable fruits and introducing advanced farming techniques.
It newly perfected a system for recovering nutrient solution to reduce the cost of production and additionally installed a number of cylindrical vegetable cultivation devices and cultivation pots at greenhouses.
It introduced valuable technical innovation proposals such as the development of nutrient reinforcing agents with enough micronutrients essential for the growth of vegetables.
It has directed efforts to increasing the variety of vegetables and cultivating high-productivity vegetables.
It has supplied various kinds of fresh vegetables to Hamhung citizens and other people in South Hamgyong Province to contribute to improving their diet. -0-
