DPRK Team Advances to Semifinals of 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup

Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- A quarterfinal between DPRK and Canadian teams for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup took place on September 20 (local time).

The DPRK team took the initiative from the beginning of the game and kept up its intense attack on its rival. No. 11 Choe Rim Jong scored the first goal at about two minutes of the extra time of the second half, and No. 13 Ho Kyong scored another goal about six minutes of the extra time.

The DPRK team thus defeated its Canadian rival 2:0.
