Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in DPRK Increases Pig-iron Output
Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, scientists of Kim Chaek University of Technology succeeded in making heat-resistant and acid-proof paint with domestically available materials.
In May, the complex applied the quality paint to the water pipes of the oxygen heat blast furnace. Since then the cooling water-pipes of the furnace have been maintaining their original state for over five months.
As a result, the operation days of the furnace and the pig-iron production have increased.
The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, too, is applying the paint to the oxygen heat blast furnaces. -0-
