National Youth Sci-tech Successes Exhibition Opens in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- A national youth sci-tech successes exhibition opened in the DPRK with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex on August 27 on the occasion of the significant Youth Day.
Presented to the exhibition are data on more than 1 800 sci-tech achievements made by young people across the country through brisk scientific researches and mass technological innovation movement to contribute to the implementation of the new Five-Year Plan set forth at the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present at the ceremony were officials concerned, officials of the youth league and working youths.
Paek Un Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.
The speaker said that the exhibition would serve as an occasion for boosting exertion and confidence of our young people working hard to repay the great love and trust of the Party with practical success by displaying their extraordinary creative spirit and patriotic zeal.
At the end of the opening ceremony the participants looked round the exhibition hall. -0-
