Nonferrous Metal Production Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Munphyong Smeltery are making innovations in the nonferrous metal production through a mass technological innovation movement.

The smeltery has increased the effectiveness and influence of the ideological work by improving the form and method of information and motivation and directed efforts to solving the significant technological problems in increasing the production.

Its technicians and workers are pushing ahead with the technological updating of production lines and equipment.

The lead refining shop, lead electrolyzing shop and the zinc electrolyzing shop introduced a reasonable operation method of electric furnace and solved the problems arising in ensuring the smoothness of electrolyzing process and thus increased the nonferrous metal production by 1.2 times as compared with the same period of last year.
