Suphung Power Station Increases Electricity Production

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The Suphung Power Station in the DPRK is increasing the electricity production by effectively using the existing foundation.

The power station introduced more than 30 inventions in the first half of the year to raise its productive capacity.

It worked out a plan for maintenance and reinforcement suited to the actual conditions of the unit and has made effective use of water and distributed the loads of generating equipment in a scientific way.

It has reinforced the April 15 Technological Innovation Shock Brigade and aroused the initiative and ingenuity of technicians and skilled workers to ensure the stability of electricity production.

It replaced insulators of the transmission line system and hastened the repair of generators.

Hydraulic structures, transmission and transformation and other equipment are being maintained and repaired to meet the unfavorable weather conditions. -0-
