Educational Exhibitions Close in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of educational experimental apparatuses, teaching aids and educational aid programs and an exhibition of donated educational equipment closed with due ceremony at Kim Il Sung University on August 30.

The participants were attracted by an AI experimental device using humanoid robot, a model board showing coal production process, a model of word-making robot, greenhouse environment control system, an electromagnetic phenomenon comprehensive presentation apparatus, an active magnetic levitation device and mechanical motion comprehensive experimental apparatus.

Highly appreciated were programs produced by teachers, researchers and kindergarten teachers of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Education No. 1, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, Moranbong Secondary School No. 1, Jungdok Primary School in Phyongsong City affiliated to Phyongsong Teachers Training College and Changgwang Kindergarten.

Different kinds of educational equipment, presented by the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Ministry of IT Industry, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Fisheries, the State Academy of Sciences and other ministries and national agencies, clearly showed the daily-growing enthusiasm for supporting education throughout the society.

Present at the closing ceremony were Kim Sung Du, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned, officials of ministries, national agencies and educational sectors, teachers, researchers and kindergarten teachers.
