Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in Rodong Sinmun, a leading newspaper of the DPRK, on Monday:

- An article says that it is the sacred mission of our revolutionaries and their mettle of struggle to realize their ideals with unyielding practice.

- Successes are being made in different economic sectors, units and parts of the country.

- There closed an exhibition of educational experimental apparatuses, teaching aids and educational aid programs and an exhibition of donated educational equipment.

- Meetings were held by Russian political parties and organizations and seminars took place in different countries on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Korea's liberation.

- Another article says that Japan's expansion of the munitions industry is an act of bringing its self-destruction. -0-
