Founding Anniversary of Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital Marked in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital marked its 10th founding anniversary.

Respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un conceived a plan to build a multi-functional general ophthalmic hospital for specialized ophthalmic treatment and glasses service, selected its site in an excellent location of the Munsu area and energetically led the whole course of its construction as designer, builder and operator.

He visited the completed hospital in October 2016 and went round various places of the hospital, giving precious instructions for treating patients and managing the hospital.

The hospital has steadily improved the quality of medical service by applying advanced treatment methods to implement the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on public health for the past ten years. In those days it won the three-revolution red flag and the Twice "Lathe No. 26" Model Machine Prize and the honor of model law-observance unit.

A commemorative meeting was held on Oct. 29.
