Fry Released into Many Hectares of Paddy Fields
Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- South Phyongan Province of the DPRK has released fry into hundreds of hectares of paddy fields, according to Minju Joson.
The provincial rural economy committee organized a passing-on-technique meeting to deal with technical and practical issues arising in the introduction of paddy-field fish breeding. And it took measures to produce fry and secure feed in conformity with the actual conditions of the province.
Under the intensified technical guidance of the province, farms released fry at a good time after the rice seedlings struck their roots and when the temperature of day and night is suitable for fish growth.
Farms are striving to feed fry and control water in order to increase both grain and fish production this year. -0-
