Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Has Photo Session with Teachers and Researchers of Kim Il Sung University

Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on October 1 had a photo session with teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University who significantly greeted the 80th founding anniversary of the university.

All the participants paid boundless gratitude to Comrade Kim Jong Un, who attended the celebration of the university founding anniversary and provided an immortal programme for the rapid development of socialist education in the new era, repeatedly showing deep trust and highest glory.

The 80-year history covered by the university along with the prosperity of the Republic is an epitome of history proving the validity and vitality of our Party's policy of attaching importance to education and talents and a proud course showcasing the spirit and resourcefulness of the DPRK advancing with strong aspiration and high ambition, Comrade Kim Jong Un said, adding that it is the pride and auspicious event for our Party, state and people to celebrate with splendor the founding anniversary of the parent university, the most prestigious and highest school which opened up the origin of revolutionary talents training.

He expressed high respect and deep thanks to the noble life and patriotic devotion of teachers and researchers who are devoting their all to the future of the country with a noble sense of responsibility and pure conscience as educators, saying that the unknown efforts of educators, who have become nourishment for the growth of disciples unselfishly and without any reward and guided them along the road of true human life, are behind many talents ensuring the dynamic advance of our motherland to open up the new era of great transformation.

Stressing once again that the mission and role of Kim Il Sung University are very important and the expectations of the Party and the people in it is very great, he expressed belief that the teachers and researchers of the university would reliably guarantee the overall development of socialism by playing a core and leading role in carrying out the strategic tasks for building an educational power, a sci-tech power and a talent power.
