Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area Attracts Many Visitors in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- Nowadays, many people spend their holidays at the Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area in the East Sea of Korea.

An official concerned told a journalist that tourists are having exciting holidays at fashionable hotels, sea-bathing facilities, sports and recreation grounds and commercial and catering establishments in all seasons.

Kalma Ulmilbong Hotel, Kalma Friendship Hotel, Kalma Department Store and Myongsasimni Department Store have improved their service for visitors alongside increased marine sports recreation facilities and public catering establishments. The roofs of Kalma Chongryu Hotel, Kalma Taehung Hotel and Kalma Chonghung Hotel have been decorated in a peculiar way. Sea-bathing, maritime sports and maritime sightseeing are most popular among tourists.

Lots of working people are enjoying themselves at the bathing beach with a capacity of tens of thousands. While school youth and children are training their bodies and minds through swimming, many others are having a pleasant time aboard cruise ships, high-speed boats and personal watercraft, motorized surfboards and other amusement equipment.

The Kalma Arirang Sports Centre consists of an electronic sports room, children's amusement hall, indoor sports room and billiard hall. Visitors with children are amusing themselves with shooting and VR equipment and playing bowling, archery and horse race game.

The Kalma Mokran Kwangmyong Game House, Myongsasimni Indoor Wading Pool, Myongsasimni Health Sports House and other places are also swarming with tourists. -0-
