Ceremony of Paying Tribute to Statues of Great Leaders Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- A ceremony of paying tribute to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill was held on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Present there were Pak Thae Song and Jo Yong Won, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other senior officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs, leading officials of the WPK Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet, commissions, ministries and national agencies and commanding officers of the Korean People's Army.

A flower basket in the name of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid at the statues of the great leaders.

Also placed were flower baskets in the name of the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the SPA Standing Committee of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The participants paid tribute to the peerlessly great men, recalling the noble careers and immortal exploits of the great leaders. -0-
