Successes Made in Coal Industry of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, workers in the country's coal industry are making successes in the construction and reconstruction of high-capacity belt conveyors, while producing coal as planned.

The Chonsong Youth Coal Mine completed the updating of the existing belt conveyors in a short span of time and has stepped up the construction of new belt conveyors extending hundreds of meters.

The February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine finished the project for installing a new belt conveyor extending a hundred and dozens of meters and is remodeling the existing 1 500 meter-long belt conveyor.

The Ryongdung Coal Mine has completed the planned belt conveyor project.

The Jenam Coal Mine, too, is putting spurs to the remodeling of belt conveyors. -0-
