Meeting of Workers and Trade Union Members in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Workers and trade union members in the DPRK met at the Central Hall of Workers on July 7 to tell stories about the noble virtues of President
Present there were Ri Won Jong, chairman of the C.C., General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, and trade union officials and members and workers in Pyongyang.
The meeting heard a reading of the full-length novel "Immortality", part of the serial "Immortal History" dealing with the immortal exploits of the President who regarded it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven and devoted his all to the country and the people till the last moments of his revolutionary career.
The performers recalled that after the liberation of Korea, the President saw to it that the oven of first-stage iron-processing was blown up, saying that the workers' lives could not be replaced with steel however important it may be. And they noted that the President visited many factories and enterprises to show the great benevolence for the workers.
They stressed that the undying feats of the President, who had continued the days of devotion for the people's happiness, even visiting an ordinary worker's family to take warm care of living, would be immortal.
