Corn Harvest Accelerated in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- Agricultural officials and workers in the DPRK are stepping up the corn harvest.

Kangnam County in Pyongyang has over-fulfilled its daily plan by applying efficient working methods and Kangdong County and Ryokpho District finished corn harvest.

Phanmun and Kaephung districts and Jangphung County in Kaesong Municipality worked out a proper schedule to suit the characteristics of farm fields and varieties and have registered high results in harvesting every day.

Agricultural workers in Yonan, Anak and Paechon counties of South Hwanghae Province are carrying out their daily assignments without fail by ensuring proper process-by-process engagement.

Farms in Sariwon City, Unpha and Hwangju counties of North Hwanghae Province are increasing the work efficiency per unit of time to harvest corn in a large area every day.

Officials and working people in North and South Phyongan provinces, too, are expanding the successes in harvesting. -0-
