DPRK Party and Government Delegation Arrives in Beijing

Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- A party and government delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea led by Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, arrived in Beijing by the private plane on July 10 to pay an official visit to the People's Republic of China and attend the celebrations of the 65th anniversary of the conclusion of the DPRK-China Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.

The national flags of the DPRK and the PRC were fluttering at the flagstaffs of the airport and the guard of honor of the Chinese People's Liberation Army lined up at the apron.

The delegation was warmly greeted by Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and concurrently secretary general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and Hua Chunying, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of China, and Ri Ryong Nam, DPRK ambassador to China, and staff members of his embassy.

Pak Thae Song was presented with a bouquet by a Chinese child.

The party and government delegation of the DPRK headed for the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, its lodging place, escorted by motorcycles. -0-
