Improved Quality of Koryo Medicines

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Jagang Province and Nampho Municipality of the DPRK direct efforts to the medical science research and the improvement of quality of Koryo medicines.

An exhibition of sci-tech achievements in health sector was recently held in Jagang Province. Presented to it were devices and medical appliances developed by public health establishments at all levels in the province.

A prostate gland kneader and other devices, developed by medical workers at the provincial general hospital, won a high appreciation as they are effective in treating patients.

Medical appliances and a digital water quality analyzer, developed by Kanggye University of Medicine, attracted the visitors' attention as they help ensure rapidity in curing illnesses and analyzing water quality.

Nampho Municipality arranged an exhibition of goods, produced at Koryo medicine pharmaceutical factories, to encourage quality competition.

The Chollima District Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory produced efficacious medicines by modernizing equipment.

Nampho, Kangso District, Onchon County and Ryonggang County Koryo medicine pharmaceutical factories are contributing to the promotion of people's health by mass-producing quality Koryo medicines with locally available herbs. -0-
