Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- In the first half of the year Pyongyang Municipality has made successes by actively conducting the work to spruce up streets and villages in a more hygienic and cultured way.

Taesong District created a peculiar landscape of forests with thousands of trees and flowers of good species in parks and streets and organized manpower rationally to finish the paving of roads and sidewalks extending thousands of square meters.

The working people in Central District carried out the floor-line painting and greenery of major roads in a short span of time, meticulously managing the vicinity of dwelling houses and public places and pushing ahead with the renovation of buildings.

Mangyongdae and Moranbong districts finished the painting of buildings' exterior, bridge railings and resting sites.

Residents in Hwasong, Phyongchon and Sadong districts managed to better the modern dwelling houses to create hygienic and cultured environment. And Sunan District boldly conducted a river improvement project and completed a park for the convenience of its residents. -0-
