Sci-Tech Exhibition Closes in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- The Advanced Science and Technology and Products Exhibition-2026 closed with due ceremony at the Grand People's Study House here on October 8.

Successes made in studying, developing and introducing advanced science and technology and products presented by the State Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Agricultural Science, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the Sangwon Cement Complex and other units were highly appreciated for their practical and economic value.

Kim Il Sung University, the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the Coal Institute under the Ministry of Coal Industry, the Achim Computer Joint Venture Company, the Pyongyang Kwangmyong IT Center, the Phurunhanul Trading Company and other units, too, presented scientific research successes conducive to the economic development of the country and the improvement of the people's standard of living, drawing the attention of participants.

Present at the closing ceremony were Kim Sung Du, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and working people of the exhibitors units.

Certificates were awarded to the highly appreciated units, technologies and products.

Vice-Premier of the Cabinet Jon Sung Guk made a closing address. -0-
