Pyongyang School Uniform Factory Marks Its 80th Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang School Uniform Factory in the DPRK marked its 80th founding anniversary.

The proud development course of the factory, founded on September 20, 1946, is associated with the history of love and devotion of the peerlessly great men who devoted themselves to the rising generations.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il entrusted the task for making the first university uniform in the period of building a new country and personally came to the spot to give instructions on production and show great benevolence and love to the workers of the factory.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un examined a lot of designs and samples of school uniforms one by one to put forward the rising generations more brightly and proudly, and saw to it that a body measurement guide for schoolchildren was drawn up for the first time in the country's history of the garment industry. He also preferentially solved the knotty problems in the production of school uniforms.

The officials and employees of the factory have striven to further strengthen its material and technical foundations and register high production results with the pride of being responsible for the production of school uniforms to which the Workers' Party of Korea attaches importance.

A meeting was held on the spot on September 19 to mark the 80th anniversary of the factory.
