Chinese Party and Government Delegation Arrives

Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK, a party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, arrived here on July 15 to pay an official goodwill visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and attend the celebrations of the 65th anniversary of the conclusion of the DPRK-China Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.

Accompanying Wang Huning are Wang Dongfeng, vice-chairman and secretary general of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Liu Haixing, head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, and other suite members.

The national flags of the DPRK and the PRC were fluttering at the flagstaffs of Pyongyang International Airport and the guard of honor of the Korean People's Army lined up at the apron of the airport.

The delegation was warmly greeted by Kim Hyong Sik, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Mun Song Hyok, vice department director of the C.C., the WPK, Kim Myong Su, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy members.

A woman worker presented a bouquet to Wang Huning.

The masses welcomed the friendly guests of China, waving national flags of the two countries and bouquets. -0-
