Iron and Steel Production Increased by 1.2 Times at Kanggye Steel Works

Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- The workers of the Kanggye Steel Works are dynamically conducting a mass technological innovation movement to increase the production of iron and steel needed for regional construction.

The factory has organized technical study to improve the technical skill of its employees. As a result, their average grade has been raised, the number of inventors increased and the production of iron and steel increased by 1.2 times as compared with the same period of last year.

In order to fully meet the daily-growing demand for iron and steel, the factory set a bold goal of building an electric iron-making process with great capacity and is putting spurs to the production of equipment in contact with relevant units.

The factory is pushing ahead with maintenance and reinforcement in a planned way and increasing the production of iron and steel needed for regional construction by boosting the ties between processes. -0-
