DPRK Pays Close Attention to Tending Evodia Daniellii Benn Forests

Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, the DPRK is taking good care of the forests planted with good species of Evodia Daniellii Benn this year.

Researchers at the Academy of Forest Science, members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians who gave assistance to the creation of the forests, are now fulfilling their role in caring for them.

They arranged demonstrations and resolved the problems at the oil-bearing tree forest stations in their charge.

Such stations in some cities and counties are tending the forests well. They are carrying out the leaf fertilizing in line with the technical requirements while paying attention to preventing them from being affected by harmful insects.

Efforts are being made to ensure that those forests make a tangible contribution to the development of the regional economy and the improvement in the people's living standards. -0-
