Receptions Given on 73rd Anniversary of Victory in Fatherland Liberation War
Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- There were receptions at the People's Palace of Culture and Okryu Restaurant on Monday, the 73rd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Present there on invitation were war veterans and persons of wartime merits who took part in the celebrations of the Day of Victory.
Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, and other senior officials of the Party and government and the armed forces organs, were present.
Congratulatory speeches were made.
Speakers extended warm congratulations and greetings to the war veterans and persons of wartime merits, kind benefactors and dear revolutionary forerunners, who laid the durable foundation for the beloved motherland DPRK, to be eternally strong and prosperous.
They said that the strength and ardent patriotic desire of all the people, who have ushered in a new era of the overall state prosperity, and the heroic self-sacrificing spirit of the proud sons of the country, who dedicated their youth to the dignity and honour of the country, have their origin in the spirit of the great July 27.
The DPRK's dignity and victory are growing stronger and greater as the descendants of this land firmly carry forward the noble idea and spirit of the victorious wartime generation, they said, adding that as the time passes along with the victorious years and the ideal of prosperity comes true, they would always remember the wartime generation, emerge victorious in the spirit and mettle of the great years and ensure the continuity of the DPRK's history and tradition of invincibility. -0-
