"Chonapho" Products

Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The Chonapho Fishery Research Institute is a modern scientific research and production base capable of simultaneously conducting research into delicious fishes and fish farming and processing fishes.

The fish processing factory of the institute is supplying products to not only the Popdong County but also cities and counties in Kangwon Province.

The marine products of the factory, which won the highest prize at the national exhibition of processed marine products-2024, were popular among the customers at the 16th Commodity Exhibition of Pyongyang Department Store and the Spring Commodity Exhibition of the Pyongyang Underground Shop-2025.

The dishes made with the famous "Chonapho" products are so delicious that the people like them very much.

One day in July 2014, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave a field guidance at the institute and named it "Chonapho Fishery Research Institute". He stressed that it is the determination of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn the Chonapho Fishery Research Institute into a modern scientific research and dissemination center and a core and pivotal base for fish farming and fish processing which are beneficial to the people.

He also took a measure to turn the area where the Chonapho Fishery Research Institute is located into a fishing village befitting to a highly civilized socialist nation. -0-
