Construction of Duck Farm Accelerated in Kaesong Municipality

Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- A duck farm with a large capacity is being built in Kaesong Municipality of the DPRK, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The farm, equipped with a hatchery, several fattening pens, meat processing and freezing room, feed processing room and other facilities, will produce large quantities of duck meat every year.

The municipality is simultaneously pushing ahead with securing and manufacturing equipment necessary for the operation of the farm and paying attention to pave the roads and green the surrounding environment of the farm.

It directs efforts to solving sci-tech problems arising in establishing a scientific breeding system, solving the feed problem and increasing the weight ratio of duck. -0-
