Anniversaries of Factory Colleges Marked in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held on the spots to mark the 50th founding anniversaries of Pukchang, Anju, Tongnim and Ryongyang colleges of technology and the 40th founding anniversary of Sangnong College of Technology.

President Kim Il Sung established the first factory college during the hard-fought war and took radical steps to strengthen and develop the colleges of technology on the basis of advantages and experience of the study-while-working higher education system.

Chairman Kim Jong Il clarified through his outstanding leadership the theoretical and practical issues arising in education and the tasks and ways for improving the management of such colleges.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un kindled the flames of revolution in education in the new century and further developed the study-while-working educational system. In this way, he has brought about a radical improvement in education at such colleges.

Under the energetic leadership and tender loving care of the peerlessly great men, those colleges have built up educational and scientific forces, laid their material and technical foundations and trained competent scientists and technicians who are playing important roles in every major worksite of socialist construction.
