Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- The DPRK people are significantly greeting the 78th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army.

The KPA has covered the road of development, performing distinguished military services in defending the country and its people for over 70 years since it had the letters "People" in its name.

Today the KPA is creditably fulfilling its honorable mission and duty as the creator of happiness and pioneer of civilization, as well as the defender of the country and the people under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The happy laughter of the people is resounding through the paradises of civilization built by service personnel--modern streets and dwelling houses, including Ryomyong Street, Songhwa Street, Hwasong Street and the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District, and the Masikryong Ski Resort and the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort.

Socialist fairyland-like villages were built in Kangbuk-ri, Kumchon County and Taechong-ri, Unpha County of North Hwanghae Province and the Komdok area afflicted by terrible natural disasters, modern greenhouse farms completed and other edifices for the people erected one after another.

The entities of regional rejuvenation including modern light industrial factories, hospitals and leisure complexes in cities and counties across the country were built by service personnel, the frontline soldiers for accomplishing the sacred revolutionary cause of realizing the cherished desire of the local people.
