Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- An open-air ice rink in the center of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, was decorated in a peculiar way as the venue for an art performance in celebration of the lunar New Year's Day.
The performance venue was filled with joy of the people greeting the holiday at an exciting time when they are decorating the first page of 2025, to be specially recorded in the history of the DPRK's growth and development, with auspicious events unprecedented in the nation-building history.
The venue, decorated in silver with dazzling lighting, was full of joy of the citizens optimistic about the rosy prosperous future, to be brought earlier along with the new year, as well as their high pride of having glorified every year of great national prosperity with exciting victories and changes.
The performance began with prelude "Snow Is Falling on New Year's Day" and "Pyongyang Is Best". The venue resounded with ice show-accompanied famous songs reflecting the people's ardent love for the motherland and their boundless national pride and optimism.
The performers showed beautiful dance rhythms and elegant and refined skills to the emotional melodies reminding one of the worthwhile course covered with the country, and to the tune of cheerful music instilling confidence in the bright future.
The cheerful serial folk songs, which resounded in the night sky of Pyongyang in harmony with the spectacular figure skating and ice dance and acrobatics, revved up the festive atmosphere and delighted the audience.
The performance reached its climax with songs "Dear Father" and "We Are the Happiest in the World" representing the honor and happiness of the Korean people leading a happy life in the big socialist family, the world's most powerful country guided by the peerlessly great leader.
Spectacular fireworks were displayed to arouse the shouts of joy from among citizens enjoying the holiday. -0-
